To Travel is to Live

wanderlust travel photography | wild and free inspiration | the wanderful soul blog

Daydreaming about far away destinations, and getting excited for future adventures in my head makes me think about what traveling truly means to me. But, it also had my wondering, why doesn't everyone have the itch to venture off into distant lands, and explore the world?
To travel is to live. At least, that's how I feel. And very passionately, for that matter. I cannot fathom why anyone would not be jumping to take any opportunity to visit another town, city, state, country, or continent!

But, you know what? That's okay. Do what makes you happy, even if that means staying in the same town your whole life. Home is where the heart is, right? And to those who want nothing more than to wander the lands like a Gypsy, go for it. (I am all for the latter!)

Just imagining myself on the road fills my heart with so much joy. There's nothing better than the feeling of being away from home. Don't get me wrong, I love Texas, and being at home with my family. But, there's something different about being away for a short, or extended period of time. Out on the road, cruising the sea, or soaring through the sky energizes my spirit and makes me feel so alive. So yes, for me, to travel is to live!

I am so happy to have met like-minded people along my travels, and through my community. There's nothing better than getting pumped for a trip and having your friends exciting you even more, be it with stories of their own, or just plain being happy for you. My friends inspire me, and make me want to explore the entire world. I only hope to do the same for them, and for my readers as well. So if you have your heart set on visiting a certain place, make it a reality. Don't just dream, live.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

Here are some of my awesome traveling friends to continue to inspire you!

  1. An epic RV trip (I've never done an RV trip) to get the last 11 states. We've been to 39 of the 50 together. We aren't counting states we traveled without each other- makes it a more fun challenge to go as a couple!

  3. I feel the same! All I want to do is talk about traveling or where my next trip is. I really do not have people that are as obsessed as I am though. I am just ready to get back out there.

    1. It's hard when no one else shares the passion to travel with you! But I hope you will continue to follow your heart. I'm sure in doing so, you'll find those people. :)
