Flower Moon | May 14, 2014

May marks the month of the Flower Moon. The full moon during May is called the Flower Moon by many native american tribes because of the abundant flowers that are in bloom during this time. The full moon occurs on May 14 this year. Flower Moon is not the only name given to May's full moon. It is also referred to as the Hare Moon, the Corn Planting Moon, and the Milk Moon. But I much prefer Flower Moon, being a flower child born in May. ☺
